Pokémon TCG Delta Reign in Malaysia: release date, cards and products

Updated 2026-10-01

Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign is due on 6 November 2026, with prerelease events from 24 October. Its headline card is Mega Rayquaza ex. The dates below are the English-language release dates published by The Pokémon Company, and local stock can arrive later.

Delta Reign release date and prerelease timing

The Pokémon Company announced that Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign arrives on 6 November 2026. It belongs to the Mega Evolution Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Before launch, Play! Pokémon prerelease events begin on 24 October 2026. Selected Play! Pokémon stores start selling the Delta Reign Build & Battle Box from that date, and prerelease play runs until 1 November. Players use a 40-card deck with four Prize cards instead of the usual 60-card deck with six Prize cards, which makes games shorter.

Players who prefer the digital game can also try the set early. Reports based on the announcement say Delta Reign arrives in the Pokémon TCG Live app on 5 November 2026, one day before the physical cards.

Headline cards and what is in the set

The expansion has more than 135 cards, including over 20 Trainer cards and more than 35 cards with special illustrations. Mega Rayquaza ex is the face of the set. Three other Mega Pokémon ex join it: Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex and Mega Golisopod ex.

Mega Evolution Pokémon ex are a returning mechanic in the Pokémon TCG. If you are new to them, read the card text on the Pokémon Company's own card previews before you build a deck, because the rules for evolving into a Mega Pokémon ex are printed on the cards themselves.

Card counts are quoted slightly differently by different news sites, because some count secret rares and some do not. When in doubt, use the figure on the Pokémon Company's own announcement.

Products in the Delta Reign line

What Malaysian collectors should know

The dates above are for the English-language release. Japanese and other regional versions of a set can launch at different times and sometimes with a different card list, so check which language is printed on a box before you buy it. Local shops usually receive stock after the global date, so a release day in November does not always mean shelves are full on the same day in Malaysia.

To check whether a sealed product is genuine, compare it with images from the Pokémon Company's own news pages. Look at the print quality of the box, the set logo, the barcode and the language marking, and be cautious of resealed or re-wrapped boxes with loose or crooked shrink wrap. Very cheap offers on new sets are a common warning sign. Buying from a known local shop that can tell you where its stock came from is the safest route.

Release information comes from the Pokémon Company's news pages on pokemon.com. Retail blogs and social posts often repeat old rumours as facts, so rely on the Pokémon Company's own announcements for dates and product names.
